Charles Schwab was established in 1971 as a brokerage company and an investment newsletter publisher. Within a few years, Charles Schwab developed into the largest global discount broker. It also provides investment research, annuities, bond trading, mutual funds, mortgages, checking and savings accounts. The company operates 300 branches located mainly in the USA, and employs nearly 1,200 financial consultants and advisors. Schwab provides easy-to-use financial tools online, such as the RMD Calculator for IRA and other tax-deferred retirement account owners, the Roth IRA Calculator for retired investors, the Mortgage Calculators, Refinancing Calculator, trading software, and countless workshop videos to help customers invest.

To log into your Charles Schwab online account, click on the Log In button on top of the home-page, at www.charlesschwab.com. Alternatively, use this URL:
https://client.schwab.com/Login/SignOn/CustomerCenterLogin.aspx. The ‘Customer Center Login‘ form asks you to provide your login ID and password in boxes labelled accordingly.

Before you log in, you can select your start page from the drop-down list provided. Your options are:

If you’d like the website to save your preferences for future occasion, check the box labelled ‘Save as your start page‘ underneath. When you’ve checked that the information you provided is correct, click the green Log In button.

If you’d like to register for online access to your Schwab account, click the ‘New User?‘ quick-link available on the ‘Customer Center Login‘ form described above, or use this link:
https://client.schwab.com/Login/Clwe/Clwe.aspx. The Login ID setup process is simple and effortless.

To get started, fill in the ‘Client Identification‘ form using your Social Security Number, your 8-digit Brokerage Account Number assigned by Schwab, and your age and contact details. For clarifications concerning enrolment, click the ‘Don’t have a Social Security Number?‘ quick-link, which takes you to the FAQs section: https://www.schwab.com/public/schwab/nn/pl_help/online_enrollment_help.html. Proceed to step 2 of your enrolment, where you are required to provide your current accounts and positions, sorting and ordering them according to how you’d like them to appear in your list. Subsequently, follow the instructions on the ‘ID/Password Setup‘ form, make a note of your authentication information, and continue to the ‘Confirmation‘ form, where you are required to double-check the information provided prior to submitting it.

Forgot Password

If you’ve forgotten your password and are experiencing login problems, use the ‘Customer Center Login‘ form mentioned above and look for the ‘Forgot your Password?‘ quick-link on the login form. As you click this link, you should be directed to:
https://client.schwab.com/Areas/Login/ForgotPassword/FYPIdentification.aspx.

The form requires you to enter your Login ID and your e-mail address.

Should you be unable to access your registered e-mail address at the time, please call the telephone number provided on the ‘Email entry‘ form. Click the ‘Continue‘ button to proceed to the ‘Email Verification‘ form, where you should enter the token sent by Schwab to the e-mail address provided. Continue to the ‘Create New Password‘ form, enter a new password and make a note of it for future use.
